Irish-born Stanley Feldman currently lives and works in Toronto. He has been painting and exhibiting professionally for almost 50 years.
The subjects of his highly individualistic work reflect both his passion for travel, and his interest in human nature. He pioneered and developed a unique modular system for interlocking canvasses, and the results can be seen in his extraordinary ‘Citiscape Series’.
From striking large-scale abstract and semi-abstract paintings to delicate and evocative watercolours and drawings, his refined techniques mirror a highly cerebral approach to his art.
In recent years, Stanley has branched-out into art history research, and his first book, about a stunning Renaissance painting now considered to be an earlier version by Leonardo da Vinci of his ‘Mona Lisa’, has recently been published as a 320-page, lavishly-illustrated, volume.
