Richelle Forsey is Toronto based artist and photographer.
She studied photography at the Etobicoke School of the Arts (ESA), the Specialist Art Program at London Ontario’s BEALart and the Ontario College of Art (OCA), but she was distracted during her final year at OCA by an invitation to travel to South East Asia and document the lives of freedom fighters: the All Burma’s Student Democratic Front. A selection of images from her adventures in Burma were featured in Vice Magazines’ 10 year retrospective; “The Photo Book” and Vice magazine’s “2007 Photo Issue“.
She is an active and founding member of the photo collective the TLR Club. In 2011 the TLR Club designed and published the photo book Modern Canadian Interiors, (ISBN:978-0-9867855-0-4). I am also an active member of Gallery 44 Centre for Contemporary Photography facilitating the OUTREACH Zine workshops and mentoring young photographers in the darkroom.
