Malinda Prud’homme is a Toronto based Mixed Media and Portrait Artist with a passion for portraying natural female beauty. The majority of her artwork focuses on capturing a variety of beauty in order to express that, despite what the media tells us, all women are beautiful in their own unique way. In order to portray her subjects she uses a wide variety of mediums including watercolour paint, willow vine charcoal, encaustic (wax) paint, and coloured pencils. However, the majority of her realistic portraits are created using acrylic and oil paint. Malinda is also an avid traveler and cannot help but be inspired by the places and cultures she has experienced. When she isn’t creating artwork or traveling, she is likely cuddled up with a good book or fun television show in her home which she calls her “happy little Hobbit hole”.
