Linda Woolven is a local Toronto artist with a degree in Fine Arts from York University. She has also studied at the Avenue Road School of Art, George Brown and The Toronto School of Art.
She spent much of her childhood growing up among the trees, lakes and rocks of Northern Ontario. Utilizing thick textures that are suggestive of reality without being abstract or literal, her oil paintings reveal her love for the land and for the character she finds in old buildings.
Linda is also a poet, writer, herbalist, acupuncturist and counselor. She is the author of several natural health books and vegetarian cookbooks.
