LINDA JOYCE OTT
I’m a full-time artist making conceptual and abstract photographs, paintings, collages, and 3D boxes.
Making art lets me explore the uncharted territory of my mind, and the ebb and flow of life with its endless swirling motion, its tensions and disturbances, and its richness, beauty, and incredible diversity – what Zorba the Greek called “the full catastrophe of life”.
My work has been exhibited in solo and group shows in Hamilton, Toronto and Alberta, including the Toronto Outdoors Art Exhibition, Hugh’s Room and Visual Arts Ontario, and is in a number of private collections.
My photographs have been published in Art Focus, Photo Life, and Camera Canada magazines, and in The Hamilton Spectator.
In 2012 following a near death experience, I launched my blog www.optimismofcolor.com
