Joseph Muscat is a graduate of the Ontario College of Art and York University. He has exhibited in Canada, USA, Europe and South America and his work is widely collected in Public, Corporate and Private collections. He has received numerous Ontario Arts Council grants and CC travel grants. He has taught Visual Arts in high schools and university.
Mr. Muscat’s work is diverse; it includes painting, mixed-media, serigraphy, lithography, photography, experimental video and three–dimensional constructions; The subject matter often draws from a repertoire of symbols and historical archetypes; his style fuses the representational with the abstract.
Mr. Muscat is Chair of Propeller Gallery, a Director on the board of the Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibition, a founding member of Le Labo d’art and an associate of the Art Collective, PADEJO. He is represented by the David Kaye Gallery in Toronto, Shayna Laing Art International in Montreal and Danielle Wohl Fine Art in Palo Alto CA.
