Irina Laskin

I am a contemporary artist predominantly working with oil.

I was born and raised in Ukraine, and I began painting at a very young age. My passion for the arts led me to graduate from Kharkov State Technical University of Civil Engineering and Architecture where I studied Architecture and Art.

I have always been attracted to vibrant colours, textures, and unconventional imagery. Experimenting with different techniques helps me express my love of colour and passion for painting.

In 1999 I moved with my family to Toronto, where I work as an architect and artist.
After many years of balancing my professional career and endeavor of becoming an artist, I decided to end my career in architecture and devote all my time to creating art.
I participated in more than 20 solo and group exhibitions, and represented by Norman Felix Art Gallery, Toronto.
My work has been published in a number of magazines and publications, and is on display in private collections worldwide.
