Helen is a graduate of York University. After retiring from full time teaching in 2001, she returned to her love of drawing. She started taking drawing courses and then experimented with painting. Loving the soft and delicate intermingling of watercolours, she enjoys painting flowers, landscapes, people and places. She also paints in oils, acrylics, and dye on silk.

Helen is a member of Beaux-Arts Brampton, Mississauga Arts Council, Silk Painters of Ontario, Silk Painters International, The North Brampton Watercolour Society and Visual Arts Brampton’s Portrait Group.

“My drawings and paintings are images from my life. I see everything as a painting. When I travel around Ontario or to far off places, I look for eye- catching scenes and interesting people.
I find it extraordinary that, at this time in my life, I should find such joy and satisfaction, from art".
