Her education includes a degree in Fine Art from the University of Guelph, a B.Ed in Visual Art from the University of Toronto, numerous additional university courses and many artist workshops, including a course in portraiture at The Academy of Realist Art in Toronto.
Her style is realistic, as her subjects are readily identifiable, but her approach is painterly with a focus on mood. Although preferring to paint from life, she also works from her photographs of familiar people and places.
